Pind Board is a public leaderboard. There are no ads, no accounts, and no data collection. It is not a charity and it is not official. You pay to stand above everyone else. Rank is the bid, nothing else.

How ranking works

• Bids are whole rupees. ₹101 minimum, ₹1,00,000 maximum. Amounts already on the board stay there until somebody raises them or another pind goes past.
• Bids add up. Every rupee anyone puts on a pind stays on that pind. Ten people putting ₹101 each takes it to ₹1,010. This is the one place we work differently to other bidding boards, and it is deliberate. A village is not one person.
• Taking number one costs ₹100 more than whatever the top pind is sitting on. If your pind already has money on it, you only need to cover the gap.
• Paying less than the top price still puts your pind on the board, at whatever rank that amount can take.
• Prices are shown in your own money. The board always counts in rupees so everybody sees one scoreboard. Your local price is that rupee amount converted at a fixed rate and rounded up to a whole amount, and the page shows you the rupee figure before you pay. You can change the currency yourself under the amount box.
• Equal amounts are separated by how many people put the pind up. Only if that is level too does the pind that got there first keep the higher rank.
• A pind is keyed by its village name and its district together. Two villages with the same name in different districts are two separate pinds and never share an amount.

What you can put up

• Only a real pind, picked from the list. You cannot type a pind onto this board. Start typing and choose yours from the drop down, the way you would on a map.
• The list is every place in Punjab, with the district it really sits in, taken from the government's own Local Government Directory. Nothing outside Punjab can go up, and no pind can go up under the wrong district.
• Spelling does not have to be perfect. The list finds your pind however you write it, so Noorpur turns up Nurpur. If nothing comes up, type a shorter piece of the name.
• You do not have to be from the pind. Anyone can put any pind up, for anyone.
• One person can put up at most twenty pinds an hour. That is there to stop the board being stuffed, not to stop your family.

Districts

• Every pind belongs to one of Punjab’s twenty three districts, and the district comes with the pind you pick. You do not choose it and you cannot get it wrong.
• Each district has its own number one. A small pind can hold a crown even if it never troubles the main board.
• The district box above the button only narrows your search. Picking a pind sets the district for you.

Putting a pind up

• Putting a pind on the board is free and always will be. You never have to pay to be listed.
• A free pind sits at ₹0 and ranks below every pind that has money on it.
• Money is the only thing that lifts a pind above another pind that already has money on it.

After you pay

• Your bid is public. The pind, the amount and the time all show on the board and in the activity list.
• A completed payment is what claims the rank. If a payment fails or is reversed, the rank goes with it.
• Money buys position and nothing else. It does not reach your village, it buys no service, and it is not a donation. It goes to Pind Board, which runs this site.

What we collect

• A village name and a district. That is the whole list. No name, no email, no phone number, no account.
• The online count and the visitor count come from real browser sessions.
• Every pind and every amount on this board is real. Nothing here is invented to hurry you along.
